How your art is evaluated by others is important, of course,

but for me, the most important thing is

that I am having fun when drawing

I will stop drawing in the future if I no longer find it fun.

I've never been afraid of a blank paper in front of me. 

It's exciting.

In that blank paper, I am the god.

The changes in the sea level, the setting and rising of the sun,

Daily temperature difference, the four seasons...

I am the one who controls it all.

It's a nice playground.

Don't be afraid, enjoy the process.

 혹시 그림을 업으로 삼으려는 사람에게

이것 하나만은 꼭 잊지 않았으면 하는 조언이 있나요?

잠시 생각한 그는 대답했다.

제가 가장 중요하게 생각하는 것은

남의 평가도 중요하긴 한데

저는 그것보다 재미예요.

 저는 만약 나중에 그림 그릴 때 재미가 없어지면 안 그릴 거예요. 

지금까지 하얀 백지가 무서웠던 적이 한 번도 없어요

좋은데 뭘

이 백지 안에서는 내가 신이에요.

조수간만의 차, 해가 뜨고 지는 것

일교차, 사계절...

 이 안에서 내가 다 주관하는 거예요.

 좋은 놀이터죠.

두려워하지 마세요. 재미있게 그리세요.
